As we worked upstream the country
became more hilly. This lower part of the river was still very
lazy and relaxing.
The river is actually called
the Chang Jiang which means Long River. "Yangzi" is
only the name of the lower part of the river near Shanghai. The
river changes name three times in it's 6,300 km but when Westerners
arrived they only knew the river by the name of the lowest portion.
