PAPCO is the plotting software originally developed at the Max-Planck-Institute for Aeronomy. and now maintained at NIS-2, Los Alamos National Laboratory. The prime aim of this PAnel Plot COmposer is to allow the user to put together data from a great variety of sources - staelltie, ground based and geomagnetic indices.
PAPCO is based on IDL and is modular in structure and allows the user to select existing modules or to construct his/her own modules for a new data set. An almost complete set of modules exist for the POLAR mission. Click below for a complete list of existing modules.
PAPCO also provides modules for CLUSTER and has been chosen
for the CASSINI magnetospheric package as a display tool.
Use of PAPCO is free. Please read the rules of the road statement for joining the PAPCO effort.
PAPCO is widely used by the
ISTP-POLAR
community as the vehicle for high resolution common data analysis.
The last official release of PAPCO is Version 9.0. To obtain the
latest current (developmental) version of PAPCO, go to

the latest pre-release (beta) version of PAPCO.
At the 1st PAPCO workshop held at Los Alamos National Lab
Janauary 1998 all the POLAR in-situ instrument teams were represented.
The
