CCR Digital Data Request Form
Digital data are only available for CEPPAD, CAMMICE and RAPID. Each file
contains 24 hours of data. You may choose a file type and date,
this file will then be made available to you to download.
Once you hit submit, your request will be serviced within 1 minute.
Depending on the size and location of the file on our
system (on-line or mass storage) it may take some time for the file to be
ready.
POLAR CEPPAD RAL Intermediate file description
The RAL intermediate files can be made for a series of different
"modes". These modes are simply different combinations of averages
over spin, sector and energy. At present only the SURVEY
(CLEAN SURVEY for IES) mode files have been produced for the whole
mission. Each file consists of an IDL save set.
- SURVEY: all detectors, all energies, sectors averaged
to give 16 sector values, averaged over 16 spins.
- CLEAN SURVEY: all detectors, all energies, sectors
averaged to give 16 sector values, averaged over 16 spins,
callibrated and pedestal corrected
POLAR CAMMICE file description
CAMMICE data is in IDL save sets, and consist of
spin-averaged spectra for all ion species measured.
CLUSTER RAPID data description
CLUSTER RAPID data is in a directory structure that contains all the RAL
intermediate file data (IF) for IES from all CLUSTER spacecraft for the
selected day. The directory structure is that produced by the RAL RCS
software and that expected by the PAPCO CLUSTER RAPID MODULE. The data is
in IDL save sets.
Plotting Software
These data files can be displayed using the
PAPCO
(PAnelPlot COmposer) data analysis package.
PAPCO can be used for display and analysis of all POLAR in-situ,
CLUSTER RAPID, LANL, GPS, CRRES, and other related data. There is
a complete on-line
users guide and you can
download the latest
version of the IDL source code.
If you are already running PAPCO, you can download the latest
POLAR CEPPAD and POLAR CAMMICE module from the
PAPCO modules page (List of available modules and
their Web Sites).
