We present a survey of substorm particle injections measured with the POLAR CEPPAD experiment suite during the approach of solar maximum. We focus in particular on the pitch angle characteristics of injected particles and the penetration depth of individual injections during those events. Depending on the orbit of Polar energy-dispersed as well as dispersionless substorm particle injections are encountered. We also put the POLAR injection measurements into the more familiar context of energetic particle injections at equatorial latitudes by supplementing our survey with simultaneous measurements from the Los Alamos energetic particle detectors at geosynchronous orbit.
