Geoff,
Both the Sep 98 and Oct 98 events chosen for the CEDAR-GEM-SHINE Storm Campaign studies were ISR World Day experiments. The Oct 98 experiemnt was a WLS study, for which I am the coordinator. I have summary plots and information on various aspects of both of these intervals on the following event WWW pages. These will be updated continuously as the studies summarized there progress. The Sep 98 disturbance was well covered in the Siberian sector and several of us have just returned from Irkutsk, where work on radar and ancillary observations during this event is progressing. Coherent radar backscatter (from 2-stream irregularities in the E region) wasobserved from Irkutsk in association with the >150 mV/m E fields at 'sub-auroral latitudes' during that event. DMSP overflights detail the intense SAID conditions in that sector.
